Cement has been used for centuries. The Roman Empire first created concrete and its name derives from the Greek word “concretus”, which means to grow together. Many of their structures were made from a hydraulic cement-based concrete which has evolved into something called Portland cement created by Joseph Aspdin in the early 1800's in England.
This formation of water and rock literally forms the foundation of modern society and continues to do so in present time. Modern technology has created ways to make and distribute concrete for building sites quickly and efficiently by the use of Cement Trucks. These trucks have barrels at the back that fill up right before heading to a job site and as it is going, it churns the cement in a circular fashion to keep it viscous.
